51³Ô¹ÏÍø hosted a dedication for the Bertolon School of Businesses’ newly installed Cabot Wealth Management Lab on Thursday, October 3 from 4-5:30 pm in the lab at 352 Lafayette St. in 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.
The lab is equipped with 12 Bloomberg Terminals, a software platform that is widely recognized as the market standard for financial industries, and will give business students access to data and tools used by investment professionals, allowing the next generation of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State students to access the world of finance at their fingertips.
Rob Lutts, founder and president of the lab’s lead sponsor, Cabot Wealth Management, and Vice Chair for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State’s Board of Trustees, gave remarks during the ceremony along with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State President John Keenan and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State student Joel Surette. 51³Ô¹ÏÍø State faculty members and students also performed demonstrations on how to use the Bloomberg terminals to attendees.
The terminals bring together real-time data on global markets, international news and research, powerful analytics, communications tools and world-class execution capabilities.
The lab will greatly improve students’ access to internships and full-time positions with leading firms in the region, positioning them to make immediate contributions to their employers. It is the only lab of its kind on the North Shore.
Additional sponsors for the lab include the Charles Schwab Foundation, St. Jean’s Credit Union Charitable Foundation, Eastern Bank, North Shore Bank, and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Five Charitable Foundation.
